Created from rich wax pastels, the scene recalls the long summer evenings in her adopted home of Vienna, where light streams in through open windows. Streaking across a room in vibrant shades of purple, red and dusty yellow, the simple graphic nature of the work accentuates her use of colour, light and shadow.
